Our budding gardener and eco-friendly baby steps.

We've just established our first vegetable garden a fortnight ago and were not short on help from Mia & Sam who really got into the spirit of digging and watering.

Currently we have carrots, potatoes, onions, broccoli, cauliflower, snow peas and strawberries growing which will add to our already flourishing apples, pears and apricot trees.

We are trying to do everything we can to be as environmentally conscious, carbon friendly and sustainable as possible. Among the small things we are doing now are: recycling our rubbish, a compost bin, eco-friendly cleaning products, cloth nappies and wipes, cloth pads, lining our rubbish bins with newspaper (rather than plastic) and using our open fire as much as possible.
